Guest Speaker for KY Lt. Governor's STEM Challenge. The Office of Lieutenant Governor Jenean Hampton and the Kentucky Science Center partnered up to offer an after-school Girls STEM Club at four middle schools in Lexington and Louisville beginning February and running through March.
FBI Louisville Citizens Academy Class 14

Graduate of the 14th Louisville FBI Citizens Academy Class. Invited to tour the FBI Headquarters in Washington DC and Quantico training facility as well as the Laboratory at Quantico. As an Alumni member, I help recruit youth who may be interested in a career with FBI. The mission of the FBI Citizens Academy is to foster a greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement in the community through frank discussion and education. Candidates are nominated by FBI employees, former Citizens Academy graduates, and community leaders. Participants are selected by the special agent in charge of the local FBI field office.

SciGirls Code FlipGrid Role Model

Conversed with young girls through Flipgrid videos. SciGirls Code is an outreach program where 16 partner organizations nationwide will be holding after school programs for middle school girls. The program is specifically designed to help address the gender gap in computer science programs by sparking and strengthening girls interest, skills, and confidence as technology creators.

SHE++, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, works to empower underrepresented groups in technology by dismantling negative stereotypes surrounding technical careers. We aim to dispel the misconception that computer science is not a career for women and minorities by rebranding what it means to be a technologist.
